The great tradition of Hollywood celebrities participating in poker tournaments for non-profit organizations will continue on January 17th, 2009 with a poker event that will benefit the Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind (TLC). The event will be called "All-In To Win" and will take place at the Commerce Casino in California (which is the home of the World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic).
The tournament has already attracted the attention of celebrities like Adam Baldwin, Brad Garrett, Daniel Baldwin, Judd Nelson and Chris McDonald. Garrett has already made numerous appearances at the World Series of Poker and look to be one of the more poker experienced celebrities to participate in the charity event. The grand prize for the poker tournament includes a slot at the World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational and $2,500 in cash.
Those looking to donate to the Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind and participate in some poker action can buy into All-In-To Win for $200 and there will be a re-buy for $200. The event will mainly benefit infants, toddlers and preschoolers who are blind and possess developmental disabilities. TLC was founded almost thirty years ago and provides twenty-four hours care services for people that are blind and has developmental disabilities.
