Horseshoe Casino to Host the World Series of Poker Academy

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Academy will be making its way in the Chicago Area on August 29th, 2009 until August 30th, 2009. Taking place at the Horseshoe Casino facility, the WSOP Academy will feature Celebrity Apprentice poker star Annie Duke, two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Matt Graham, ESPN poker radio host Bernard Lee and poker tells specialist Joe Navarro leading two days of comprehensive poker instruction designed for poker enthusiasts of all levels.

Brandon Rosen of Post Oak Productions, the organization that produces the World Series of Poker Academy said that the WSOP Academy just finished a terrific summer at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Nevada and they are now very excited to offer their first WSOP Academy in Chicago with a terrific line-up of poker instructors.

The event will offer intensive poker seminars with QandA portions, video analysis of World Series of Poker event footage, live card hand demonstrations and private multiple table tournaments. The World Series of Poker Academy also offer players the chance to play against the best poker players in the world.

The champion of the private poker event will compete for a $10,000 WSOP Main Event slot at the 2010 WSOP Academy Tournament of Champions. The academy will make the inaugural appearance of its kind in Chicago for poker tells specialist Joe Navarro.

Navarro spent twenty-five years in the FBI working in counterintelligence and counter-terrorism and became one of the leading authorities on non-verbal communication that individuals show when they are not telling the truth.

Navarro said that he looks forward to teaching the students at the WSOP Academy and helping them change their view of the game. Space is limited and the academy is expected to sell-out well in advance so interested individuals can register early.
