Lacey Jones to Represent the Canadian Poker Tour

Professional poker player and host Lacey Jones is set to become the new representative of the CPT (Canadian Poker Tour) and will be shown prominently on the CPT's new online video network-the Canadian Poker Player Television. Jones said on February 1st, 2010 that she really loves Canadian poker fans and she is happy to a part of the CPT.

Female poker players' participation in the Canadian Poker Tour has been steadily dropping over the last two years and CPT owner HeadsUp Entertainment is hoping that Lacey Jones will help bring back female poker players to the tables.

Canadian Poker Tour President Kelly Kellner said that here is a girl that loves to play hockey, drink Canadian beer and is an outstanding poker pro. Kellner said that they believe that by having Lacey Jones participate in their events and the fact that she is about to move to Vancouver, the collaboration could not be any stronger.

Jones will also be featured on the cover of the new issue of Canadian Poker Player Magazine. Originally appointed by a poker group to do modeling work, Jones proved to more than just a pretty face at the gaming tables and has since made significant cash-ins at the WSOP and Borgata Poker Open. Online poker room Absolute Poker took notice and signed her as a full-fledged poker pro.

Jones' first poker tournament as a representative of the CPT will be the upcoming Winter Freezeout to be held at the Cash Casino in Calgary from February 24th, 2010-February 28th, 2010.
