Online site PartyPoker.it has signed well-known Italian striker Francisco Totti as an ambassador for the online poker site. Born in Rome, Italy, Totti has succeeded on almost every level of soccer that he played over the length of his career.
Totti, who is also known as "Er Purpine, started playing soccer for his hometown team of Roma when he was just sixteen years old and is now the main goal scorer and most capped soccer player in Roma's history. On the world stage, Totti has been a permanent presence in the Italian national team since 2000 and was a member of the Italian team that defeated France to win the 2006 World Cup title.
Totti won the Italian Footballer of the Year award five times and was recognized by Pele as one of the top one hundred twenty-five living football players in 2004. The Italian star now bring his presence to the online poker tables on PartyPoker.it.
Totti said on February 25th, 2010 that he has faced a lot of challenges in his career and he always apply himself with skill, loyalty, intelligence and passion. He said that a poker player needs these abilities to succeed in any poker game.

Totti was not the only important player signed by PartyPoker.it this week. On February 24th, 2010, PartyPoker announced that it had signed poker pro Dragan Galic to Team Party.
35 year-old Galic is a Croatian/German from Schneverdingin who has more than $900,000 in poker tournament winnings and a European Poker Tour (EPT) final table appearance. The other members of Team Party include Kara Scott, Mike Sexton, Ian Frazer, Tony G. Bodo Sbrzesny, Felipe "Mojave" Ramos and Remy Biechel.
