There are some poker players who have influenced the game with their talents and as businessmen but few have had the influence of Australian poker player Tony G. Having won more than $4 million in live poker tournament winnings, the online thing missing from the poker resume of Tony G. was a representation agreement with a well-known online poker site.
But this is no longer relevant because Tony G., who is also known as "G-man or G" in the poker circuit has signed with PartyPoker.com on January 21st, 2010 to be a player representative for the online poker site. Aside from joining the Party Team, Tony G. has sold his TonyGpoker.com assets to the top online poker site giving the Party machine full access to the online site's player database.
Tony G. said that he is very happy with the new agreement and he is more than ready to face challenger. He said that he cannot wait to begin representing Team Party on the poker circuit. He added that he is also excited about the upcoming Premier League in February 2010 since it is one of his favorite poker tournaments in the circuit.
Tony G's new agreement incorporates live poker tournament buy-ins to poker events around the world and he will play under the screename "TonyG" online. He joins an already formidable line-up of Team Party players including Ian Frazer, Kara Scott, Mike Secton, Remy Biechel, Bodo Sbrzesny, Felipe "Mojave" Ramos and Stewart Scott.
For poker players wondering what will happen to the existing Tonygpoker.com, the acquisition of the gaming assets of TonyGPoker.com will migrate all of its poker players to NoblePoker.com (a subsidiary of PartyGaming).
As part of G's agreement, he will continue to run the Sunday Bike Ride, a well-known bounty promotion on the site. Tony G. said that this will give TonyGPoker.com players additional value over the long run. He said that it is business as usual for his online poker site. He added that the acquisition of the site's assets by PartyGaming will create a more unique gaming environment.
