The European Continent's biggest card room lives up to its reputation and debuts a new tournament set-up for the current year. For the year 2008, the continent's biggest card casino-the Poker Royale located in Wiener Neustadt, Austria-has a lot in their plans. From April 18th, 2008 until May 4th, 2008, the European Poker Championships will be held there.
Poker games enthusiasts will be able to enjoy No Limit Holdem, Limit Holdem as well as Pot Limit Omaha and Limit Seven Card Stud. The initial event, a jackpot guaranteed No Limit Hold'em event with a buy-in cost of seventy euros plus unlimited re-buy options will happen on April 18th, 2008.
The Guaranteed prize pool in the event is 30,000 euros. On April 19th, 2008, there will be a 100 euros NLH Freezeout event and on the same day, the satellites designed for the main poker events will begin. The next poker event on the schedule will be on April 20th, 2008 and it will be a 200 euros NLH Freezeout.
There will be other tournaments that have minimum buy-ins for the day as well. The four main poker events that will be played in the game are the No Limit Poker Hold'em, Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and the Limit 7Card Stud, which features a buy-in cost of 1 euro.
The winner of each poker main event will be recognized as a European Champion. The four champions plus the top twenty finishers in the event will participate in another event. They will have to play all of the disciplines in one tournament and the winner will be given the title LORD OF POKER. The 2nd week of the tournament will begin with preliminary round for the SIT and GO European events, with a buy-in cost of sixteen Euros.
The winners of the event will proceed to round two and the runner-up for each event will receive their buy-in fees back. But it is not possible to buy-in directly to the last round of the event which is worth 1,000 Euros. There will be also a team event during the second week of the event. With 60 casino table games, Poker Royale is considered to be the largest card casino facility in the European continent.
