Running Aces Debuts Poker Card Room

On July 1st, 2008, the Southwest Casino Corporation announced that the Running Aces Harness Park debuted its fifty table card room on June 30th, 2008, after it successfully completed its 50th day of live harness racing. The Southwest Casino Corporation owns fifty percent membership interest in the Running Aces Horse racing park. The poker card room of Running Aces features fifty casino table games of poker and non-banked card games.

The room is also open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The twenty-five poker tables of Running Aces features Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Seven Card Stud. Gaming enthusiasts can also pick from different casino games like blackjack, Fortune Pai Gow Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Three Card Poker and Four Card Poker. Running Aces also features weekly events, events for female players only and a beginner's table where advance players will teach beginners how to play the different games. Running Aces also features live Harness racing with pari-mutuel wagering on a five/eigth mile track.

The track opened on April 11th, 20089 and will feature fifty-three days of professional racing from April 11th, 2008 to July 6th, 2008. Aside from the live races, Running Aces also features a simulcast betting on all breeds of horses and a restaurant and bar. The law in Minnesota requires the track to host fifty days of live harness racing before it could feature a card room. The CEO of Southwest Casino Corporation, Jim Drunk commented that they are happy to offer the poker card room to their customers and are hoping for a bright future for the poker card room.
