The game of poker is once again making its way into the entertainment mainstream with the upcoming reality show Two Months $2 Million on G4 Television. The show will focus on well-known high-stakes online poker pros Jay "pr1nnyraid" Rosenkrantz, Emil "Whitelime" Patel, Brian "Flawless Victory" Roberts and Dani "Ansky" Stern as they try to collectively take home two million dollars in 2 months playing poker online.
The group will utilize a shared bankroll while staying at a ten thousand square foot mansion in Las Vegas, Nevada, just outside of the strip, which includes a special room with 4 fifty-inch plasma televisions and several computers for multiple table online poker. Each member is no stranger to achieving success in the poker circuit. Stern recently placed in 4th place in the 2009 World Series of Poker's $40,000 dollars No-Limit Hold'em event for $548,315 dollars.
Patel finished in 2nd place in the 2008 Full Tilt Poker Heads-up event for $320,000 dollars and both Roberts and Rosenkrantz have taken home hundred of thousands of dollars playing cash games on online casinos. With the house only a few miles from the Las Vegas strip, the cast will also take time out from the game to explore the area, all for the benefit of reality television.
There will also be several guests as the cast will have dinner with online cash-game phenom Tom "durrr" Dwan, play a live cash game against poker pro Erica Schoenberg and play high-stakes game against David Benyamine. The show will feature ten half-hour episodes and begins airing on August 16th, 2009 at 9:00 p.m. PT.
