WPTs 8th Season to Launch on Fox Sports Net

The 8th season of the WPT (World Poker Tour) is set to debut on Fox Sports Net (FSN) on January 24th, 2010. The 8th season of the World Poker Tour will feature twenty-six episodes with poker stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlantic City, Biloxi, Foxwoods, San Jose and Lawrenceburg.

David Sussin, the vice president of programming at Fox Sports Net, said that they are very excited to offer a new season of World Poker Tour events to their regional sports network. Sussin said that the drama present in high stakes poker continues to entertain their audience of avid poker enthusiasts.

Hosts Vince Van Patten and Mike Sexton will be returning to call the poker action in a memorable season of the World Poker Tour, which has already seen great wins achieved by Prahlad Friedman, Tommy Vedes, Alexandre Gomes and Daniel Alaei.

All twenty-six episodes will be sponsored by FullTiltPoker.net and every episode will be broadcast in high definition for the first time. Viewers will be able to see each final table over two one-hour episodes, which will be televise at 11:00 p.m. every Sunday after January 24th, 2010.
